Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to refer a debt:

Generally if your customer has exceeded your credit terms, or if they are 90 days overdue.  Remember the sooner you refer a debt the better chance of success.

What information do I provide on referral:

We require your customers contact details, copy outstanding invoices and full credit application form.

What happens if my debt is not recovered:

You will be advised then you will need to decide on one of two things:

  • To commence litigation

  • To close file

If you decide on litigation we can provide your details to our solicitor who will commence proceedings for you.  We will keep in contact with our solicitor and updates will be provided to you on the progress.

What happens if my customer has left the address:

A skip trace can be conducted to attempt to locate your customer. You will need to provide as much information as possible on them, ie, last known address, contact numbers, work details and if to hand relatives details.  Remember any little bit of information could assist in locating your customer.  If the customer is located we will then commence the recovery process

(We use the services of an external skip tracing agency who specialise in privacy and locating skipped customers)
